Jewelry Care

24K Gold Vermeil

At Jenny Cipoletti Jewelry, our demi-fine pieces are meticulously crafted with 24K real gold layered over premium sterling silver. This process results in a thicker, more enduring finish than typical 18K gold plating.

Cleaning Freshwater & Mother-of-Pearl

Our collection features only natural pearls, creating unique variations in each design. To preserve their beauty, it’s important to allow fragrances and cosmetics to dry completely before wearing your pearl jewelry, as exposure to soap, chemicals, or lotions can diminish their shine. Gently clean your pearls with a soft, damp cloth to remove any residue. Store them separately from other jewelry to prevent scratches and avoid storing them in plastic, which can cause yellowing over time. Pearls need to breathe, so avoid sealing them in airtight bags. Always wipe them clean after wearing to remove body oils that could stain or change their color.

Cleaning Semiprecious & Precious Stones

For hard, semiprecious stones, cleaning with warm soapy water and a brush, followed by drying with a soft cloth, is ideal. For softer, porous stones such as opals, emeralds and amber, avoid water cleaning to prevent discoloration and minimize contact with lotions, cleaners, or perfumes to maintain their natural luster. Refrain from using ultrasonic cleaners and steam cleaning methods, as these can damage the stones. Protect your stones from high heat to ensure their longevity.

Wearing Your Jewelry

When wearing your jewelry, avoid exposure to chemicals such as hair spray, perfume, household cleaners, pool chemicals, and salt or hard water. Ensure that perfumes and hair sprays are fully dry before putting on your jewelry, and avoid wearing it while swimming or bathing.

Storing Your Jewelry

After wearing, gently wipe your jewelry with a soft, clean cloth to remove natural body oils and sweat residue. Store each piece individually in it’s soft velvet pouch and in its original box to avoid scratches.

By following these guidelines, you can help ensure that your jewelry remains beautiful and durable for years to come. For more information, please contact us at hello@jennycipolettijewelry.com.
